21st December
The head gardener and his assistant wish everyone a happy festive season.
The head gardener wasn't feeling so festive after he had spent the day planting bulbs!
Storm Darragh left its mark. We lost lots of trees and the greenhouse got some new ventilation. (The door was blown off).
The woodland is a bit of a mess.
Camelia walk has now been cleared of debris and prepared for spring.
The top of the hill has been cleared of bracken and is ready for the emergence of Daffs and Bluebells. (Lots of Oak trees damaged here).
The bracken is used to cover all the tender plants.
The Bananas still want to grow!
The hillside garden still needs tidying.
Crikey, the Witch Hazels are flowering early!
The Zantadeschia still have not died back!
Part of the woodland garden has been cleared ready for the snowdrops.
